Inferno - by Dan Brown

11/03/2013 17:02
I enjoy Dan Brown books, so when it was announced that he was coming out with a new book I was excited. Well, I'm glad I didn't go out and buy this book when it first came out and waited until it was in paperback because I was a bit disappointed. As always, I love the way the author describes the...

Gone (series) - by Michael Grant

10/06/2013 17:31
Wow, wow and WOW! What an interesting series! When I read the description of the first book, Gone, I was a little skeptical. It seemed like a modern day Lord of the Flies. This story has been re-done so many times. But I decided to give it a try. And like I said earlier, WOW! All adults over the...

Crossing Lines (Gabe Quinn #2) - by Keith Houghton

09/22/2013 19:23
Killing Hope was the first book by Keith Houghton that I read. I stumbled across it when it was on the free Kindle book list. The second book in the series did NOT disappoint! Gabe Quinn is again sucked into a mystery of one death while still on the hunt for a killer from his past. More twists and...

Delirium - by Lauren Oliver

08/02/2013 12:15
The concept of this series caught me. When you turn 18, you're wiped free from the feeling of love. Love/lust is such a problem in this new society that it's categorized as a disease. It interferes with your thought process to make rational decisions. So in order for the society to function...

Freak of Nature - by Julia Crane

So what really happens when you donate your body to science? For Kaitlyn, she became half-human/half-machine. All of the human emotional elements were supposed to have been removed, but she begins to discover they haven't. She has emotions and can remember bits and pieces of her former life. She...

Legend - by Marie Lu

The country is split between the Republic, the Colonies and the Patriots. In the Republic you have to take the Trials when you are 10 years old. These trials provide information to the Republic as to where you should be placed. If you fail, you are taken away and forced to work hard labor…or so you...

The Selection - by Kiera Cass

05/27/2013 18:20
The prince is looking for his future queen. All girls age 16 are eligible to submit their application for the 35 spots available for The Selection (reminds me of the Bachelor). The Selection is a big ordeal and is televised for the entire country to see. America Singer is one of the girls from a...

Cinder - by Marissa Meyer

04/09/2013 08:34
A cyborg Cinderella story. Instead of losing a shoe, she loses a robotic foot. An evil queen from another planet threatens earth and somehow, good must prevail. Confused yet? I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this book! This author put her twist on a classic fairy tale that had me hooked...

Enclave - by Ann Aguirre

04/01/2013 12:20
Another book about a world beyond what we know. Distruction happened to society forcing some to live underground. Those living underground have a short lifespan. They are divided into groups who train at their craft until the age of 15, where they are named and become official members of the group....

I Am Number Four (Lorien Legacies) - By Pittacus Lore

02/06/2013 20:03
I know there's a movie for this book. I've never seen it. This book has been on my wishlist for awhile and I'm glad I finally gave it a whirl. So there are these aliens. Not little green aliens from another planet. Nine aliens, who look just like you and me, are sent to Earth after their planet...
